Proof Positive!

I presume everyone now has heard of the church location mass murder on Sunday, 5th November 2017.

To recap, a man identified as Devin Patrick Kelley (age 26) killed some twenty people and injured six others at the last count I heard.  The mass murder was conducted around 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

Kelly has been credited with mental problems and aggressive behavior, including being discharged dishonorably from the Air Force and having been confined to some form of mental health facility.

This mass murderer used a firearm or firearms in this mass murder.  The use of a gun has predictably incited every liberal in the world to blame ‘guns’ for the actions of Kelley and most other deaths in the world.

However, the proposed legislative answer to the problem of murders – including mass-murders – as making firearms illegal or much harder to obtain – legally, of course – is undercut by the facts.

There are already laws, Federal and most if not all states, flatly barring the possession or acquisition of firearms by those adjudicated as ‘mentally imbalanced’.  The various laws use other terms than ‘mentally imbalanced’ but the underlying concept is the same.  There are already Federal and local laws prohibiting possession or acquisition of firearms by those convicted of ‘domestic abuse’, either as a felony or misdemeanor.  There are other laws in the state of Texas, Wilson County (Texas) and Sutherland Springs (Texas) regarding discharging weapons within certain areas (such as ‘city limits’ or ‘inhabited areas’), and murder.

In other words, if ‘passing a law’ would solve the problem of mass and individual murder, the problem has already been solved.

Still there will be those who wail and weep for ‘gun control’ and demand ‘we have to do something!’  I agree, we need to do something.  However, banning guns in an emotional paroxysm of legislation will not cease murders.

What can be done?

The first step is actually two-fold:

  1.  understand blaming an inanimate object for human misconduct – specifically hatred – is ridiculous and puerile.
  2.  understand a law does not prevent misconduct of any sort; a law merely makes such misconduct punishable.

Quickly following the first step is another two-fold action:

  1.  understand there are not enough and cannot be enough law enforcement personnel to immediately stop all violent crimes.
  2.  understand the intended victims are the only people in the place and time to prevent such violent crimes.

So, the facts destroy the argument of more legislation ‘banning’ guns.  All the gun haters have left is emotion and half-truths.  Why does this sound so familiar to me?

The Amazing Ignorance of Jessie Daniels

Whilst innocently perusing the news, I found an article

wherein Jessie Daniels, a sociology professor at City University of New York (CUNY) pointed out – suggested – declared – the “white, nuclear family” promotes white supremacy.

I read the rest of the article, presuming to find some innocent or reasonable logic behind what seems to be an outrageous claim.  Seeing I found this article on Fox News, I checked some of the other news sources.

CNN had no articles, pro or con, regarding Professor Daniels.

NPR had nothing.

USA Today had nothing.

Wall Street Journal – nothing.

BBC – nothing.

I did find a website, seemingly her own – which listed Jessie Daniels as “Jessie Daniels, PhD – Writer, professor, speaker, digital sociologist at Hunter College and The Graduate Center, CUNY. Expert on race, racism and technology. Documentary-curator, aspiring NYT best-selling memoirist.  Co-founder, editor, blogger, Racism Review.”

I also found the CUNY page reported in the Fox News article.  It roughly reports the above identification and credentials.

So one presumes Fox News is reporting on the same person.

Without citing all the quotes in the article, Dr. Daniels – I presume – makes the statement, “the white-nuclear family is one of the most powerful forces supporting white supremacy,” adding that that families “reproducing white children” are “part of the problem”.  She went on to say “White people: do you own your home? When you die, where’s wealth in that house going? If it’s to your children, you’re reproducing (inequality).”

I do not trust myself to follow the logic she presents; yet it is blatant:  By maintaining a cohesive family, owning a home and giving their children the benefit of a proper upbringing and an inheritance, “white people” are supporting white supremacy and racial inequality.  I must point out the actions to which Dr. Daniels reportedly objects are all traditional Christian – and other religions – values.  Which seems to suggest she objects to all included.

If that is so, she seems to suggest in order to dismantle white supremacy and foster ‘equality’ between the races (do races exist?  I read races don’t exist somewhere) the white families must stop being ‘nuclear families’, quit owning homes – or presumably anything of value – and stop leaving their wealth to their children.

That seems a bit draconian.

Not mentioned is anything to the effect of non-white people SHOULD encourage nuclear families, the owning of property and the tradition of encouraging and supporting the progeny of the family in an effort to counteract the ‘white supremacy’ movement.  How odd.

Several bits bother me a great deal about this, should the report be true.

  1. The assumption of ‘white supremacy’ as a result of intentionally maintaining a family, family ties and working.
  2. The assumption non-white people cannot do the same.
  3. Such a person as Dr. Daniels would be considered – by anyone other than herself – any sort of authority on anything to do with racial relations or differences.
  4. Any University, College or other organization of learning (down to and including pre-school) would  actually pay her money and keep her on staff as such.

Those with differing views, please present information to dispel my misconceptions.

Take a knee! And go to Arlington and kiss the ground of real HEROES!

Forwarded to me by a valued friend who was ‘there’.  It was forwarded to him by an anonymous (to me) friend of his who was also ‘there’.

Take a little trip to Valley Forge in January If you don’t know where that is, just Google it from the sidelines.

Hold a musket ball in your fingers and imagine it piercing your flesh and breaking a bone or two. There won’t be a doctor or trainer to assist you until after the battle, so just wait your turn. Take your cleats and socks off to get a real experience. Then take a knee.

Then, take one at the beach in Normandy where man after American man stormed the beach, even as the one in front of him was shot to pieces…the very sea stained with American blood. The only blockers most had were the dead bodies in front of them, riddled with bullets from enemy fire.

Take a knee in the sweat soaked jungles of Vietnam. from Khe San to Saigon… Anywhere will do. REAL Americans died in all those jungles. There was no playbook that told them what was next, but they knew what flag they represented. When they came home, they were protested as well..and spit on for reasons only cowards know.

Take another knee in the blood drenched sands of Fallujah in 110 degree heat.. Wear your Kevlar helmet and battle dress.. Your number won’t be printed on it unless your number is up! You’ll need to stay hydrated but there won’t be anyone to squirt Gatorade into your mouth. You’re on your own. Or at Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Bougainville, or Tarawa!

There’s a lot of places to take a knee. Real Americans have given their lives all over the world. When you use the banner under which they fought as a source for your displeasure, you dishonor the memories of those who bled for the very freedoms you have. That’s what the red stripes mean. It represents the blood of those who spilled a sea of it defending your liberty.

While you’re on your knee, pray for those that came before you, not on a manicured lawn striped and printed with numbers to announce every inch of ground taken….but on nameless hills and bloodied beaches and sweltering forests and bitter cold mountains…every inch marked by an American life lost serving that flag you protest..

No cheerleaders, no announcers, no coaches, no fans…just American men and women…delivering the real fight against those who chose to harm us…blazing a path so you would have the right to “take a knee.”

You haven’t an inkling of what it took to get you where you are; but your “protest” is duly noted. Not only is it disgraceful to a nation of real heroes, it serves the purpose of pointing to your ingratitude for those who chose to defend you under that banner that will still wave long after your jersey is issued to another…

If you really feel the need to take a knee, come with me to church on Sunday and we’ll both kneel before Almighty God. We’ll thank Him for preserving this country for as long as He has. We’ll beg forgiveness for our ingratitude for all He has provided us. We’ll appeal to Him for understanding and wisdom We’ll pray for liberty and justice for all….because He is the one who provides those things.

And there will be no protest. There will only be gratitude for His provision and a plea for His continued grace and mercy on the land of the free and the home of the brave It goes like this…

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Hate Speech and Murder

On 1st October, an alleged single male individual opened fire with several rifles on a crowd of people attending a Country and Western Music Concert in Paradise, Nevada.  Paradise, Nevada is located in the greater Las Vegas, Nevada area very close to McCarran International Airport.

As most adults are aware, some fifty-eight people were killed at the scene or died as a result shortly following.  Over four hundred people were wounded.

This is a horrific event.  All the victims of the homicidal attack were attending a music concert.   None of them, to anyone’s knowledge, had ever offended the murderer or even inconvenienced him.  This action was horrific.  Decent people around the world are horrified.

As horrible as this was, and the personal damage caused to victims and survivors alike is the reaction of the Left.  Those who claim to stand against ‘hate speech’ and publicly advocate an ‘inclusive’ and understanding view of others.

One Democrat, California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount) made a Facebook statement, on his Facebook page, blaming and specifically including every firearms owner in the United States as being responsible.

Former Secretary Hillary Clinton made a comment of equal venom and ignorance by vilifying sound suppressors – ‘silencers’ – hypothetically.  Just for the record, no sound suppressors were employed.  Nor did the crowd react instantly to the sound of gunfire.

Even more disgusting were the comments by CBS vice president and senior legal counsel Hayley Geftman-Gold (formerly employed in New York).  She said victims of the Las Vegas mass murder were “Republican gun toters” not deserving of sympathy.  She was fired after the statements were made public; but her position indicated a level of bias.

It is interesting in this context to note her statement was made public in a Facebook statement.  She later, after being apprised of her indefensible statement, apologized with much more consideration of her words than her initial statement.

Her unguarded statement is frighteningly reminiscent of the attitude of many dictators and junta members of the last century in showing no regard for ‘them’ (whoever disagreed with the speaker or the speaker’s party).  She essentially wrote off everyone who wasn’t totally agreeing with her feelings.

Just so there are NO misunderstandings, this is HATE SPEECH at the rawest.  It is incredible hatred and undisguised.  One wonders how many other similar statements were made and NOT publicly reported.

In contrast, how many on the Left accuse normal people of hate speech for disagreeing with their continuing destruction of Western values and freedom?

In contrast:

In 2013 (no newer information) there were 6,056 abortions reported in the State of Nevada.  I’m not picking on Nevada, but that’s where the shooting occurred.  Reported.  So this is a minimum number, assuming everyone reports everything accurately and so forth.  This information is from ‘johnstonarchieve.net‘ and cites information from CDC information collection.

In other words, the murders of 1st October amount to One Percent (1%) of the abortions performed in 2013.  From another view, that was roughly seventeen abortions per day (counting Saturday and Sunday).  So in about three and one half days, the numbers of abortions performed roughly equalled the number of people killed at the Las Vegas murders.

The mass-murder on 1st October was hideous.  What does that make the number of intentionally caused deaths due to abortions?  And keep in mind, that isn’t the number of deaths caused currently – the information is four years old.

Of course, this is trivialized by those promoting abortion.  After all, those are not ‘real’ deaths, as the victims were not ‘real’ people; they hadn’t been born yet.  Who cares?

One wonders if the deaths of infants in the United States by abortion is trivialized by people like Hayley Geftman-Gold in similar manner?

Or, in the famous words of another famous (infamous?) leftist, “What difference does it make anyway?”

I should also explain the lives of people are precious in the sight of God, and therefore precious to me.  I am certainly not as good at it as God, but constantly getting better.  (Better than I was, anyway.)  I do not rejoice in the deaths of ‘others’.  Not other races, not other nationalities, not other religions, not other political viewpoints.  (I am aware some jackass will object I left something out in that last sentence.)  Yeah, at times I feel less ‘Christian’ than I should; but then I pray about it and get my head back on straight.

Stephen Paddock is logically a Leftist, probably Democrat

It only makes sense.

Being transparent and open, I do not know for sure about this.  But it follows from the known facts.  Consider:

The shooter in the Las Vegas mass murder intentionally selected as his target a group of Country-Western music aficionados.  Overwhelmingly,  Country-Western music enthusiasts are pro-American and therefore voted for Donald Trump.  One concludes the shooter suffers from anti-Trump or Trump Derangement Syndrome.

It is silly and illogical to suggest a pro-American would select such a target group.

The shooter made sure the mass murder would fit the pre-arranged claims of the Left aligned Democrat Continuum.  Sure enough, on cue, all the wild eyed Leftists were primed and ready to deploy the ‘ban guns’ paranoid delusion.  (Almost as if they were expecting the incident?)

It is silly and illogical to suggest a pro-American would damage the Second Amendment in such manner.

The shooter didn’t want to face his victims.  They weren’t real people to him, just ‘them’.  Very typical of Leftist thought and behavior.

All the pro-American people I know are rather ‘person oriented’, at least in this sense.  Very few are back shooters.  Pro-American people tend to consider the consequence of their actions more carefully.

The shooter killed himself rather than face the public, the justice system or the real world.

That is self-evident and I’ll leave it alone.

The last bit of known fact presumes Mr. Paddock was in fact the murderer.  If Mr. Paddock was deployed only as a decoy, scape-goat or red-herring, the actual murderer fit into the first three items and then killed Mr. Paddock to cover his crimes.

At the very least the Las Vegas murderer committed his crime to assist the Left, based on logical thought.

Redundancy

Meaning “the state of being not or no longer needed or useful”, closely related to “redundant” meaning “(of a component) not strictly necessary to functioning but included in case of failure in another component”, with synonyms of “unnecessary · not required · inessential  · unessential  · needless · unneeded · uncalled for · surplus · superfluous”

Senator John McCain today announced he disapproves of President Trump’s decision to free the U. S. Armed Forces of the fiscal, administrative and tactical burden of ‘transgender’ people in the Armed Forces.  Sen. McCain’s position puts him squarely in  favor of the former President’s theory the U. S. Armed Forces is not intended to defend the U. S. militarily, but rather a social experimentation laboratory.

Sen McCain also disagrees with the pardon of Sheriff Joe Arpaio regarding the Sheriff’s conviction of purely political ‘violations’.

My comments to the Senator from Arizona:  Relax, John; we all know you are a RINO and hate all contributing to the well being of the United States.  You can quit proving it.

Perhaps he should show some honesty and publicly change his political party affiliation.

The Danger of a “Little Knowledge”

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/why-robert-jeffress-is-wrong-about-romans-13-and-north_us_598c69eee4b08a4c247f28ad

According to this entry in the Huffington Post, The Bible passage of Romans (chapter) 13: (verse) 1 does NOT justify the use of military force against North Korea intimidation by use of their – North Korea’s – nuclear ability.

Once again, non-believers make the mistake of thinking they have an overwhelming knowledge of God’s Message and will (agenda/program/plan) for mankind.  One is amazed how some cite a particular passage in the Bible and then claim their view is correct, while denying much of the rest of the Bible and ignoring the contextual and historical implications in all passages.

Such is the case here.  The author of the article, identified as “Peter Henne, Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont (in the Department of Political Science)” admits “Now, I am neither a theologian nor a religious studies scholar.”  That part, I believe.  Then Professor Henne goes on to make theological and ‘religious’ comments and conclusions based on his admitted ignorance.

One is forced to the conclusion Professor Henne is coloring God’s Message and agenda with the Leftist program of Karl Marx and Bill Ayers.

One – Professor Henne, for instance – should stick to one’s sphere of knowledge and expertise.  Which seems to be wishful thinking based on Leftist pipe dreams.
