According to this entry in the Huffington Post, The Bible passage of Romans (chapter) 13: (verse) 1 does NOT justify the use of military force against North Korea intimidation by use of their – North Korea’s – nuclear ability.
Once again, non-believers make the mistake of thinking they have an overwhelming knowledge of God’s Message and will (agenda/program/plan) for mankind. One is amazed how some cite a particular passage in the Bible and then claim their view is correct, while denying much of the rest of the Bible and ignoring the contextual and historical implications in all passages.
Such is the case here. The author of the article, identified as “
One is forced to the conclusion Professor Henne is coloring God’s Message and agenda with the Leftist program of Karl Marx and Bill Ayers.
One – Professor Henne, for instance – should stick to one’s sphere of knowledge and expertise. Which seems to be wishful thinking based on Leftist pipe dreams.
The President asked all fifty states for information on voter registration, investigating voter fraud or the potential for voter fraud in national elections.
A number of states have publicly refused to cooperate. Oddly, perhaps rather meaningfully, several states controlled by the Democrat Continuum have refused to provide any information. Coincidently, these are states with high volumes of non-U. S. Citizen residents, and some with high volumes of illegal – not legally within the borders of the United States – aliens living and working in the United States in violation of law. People not authorized to vote in elections, among other things.
One wonders why such an action? If everything in those states is above board and lawful, the information requested will show the legality.
A second thought is the request and investigation is initiated by a Republican and Conservative President as the aftermath of accusations and counter accusations of improper voting procedures and voter registration. Democrat Continuum state leaders seem to resist any meaningful resolution of the matter.
The logical conclusion is pretty obvious. Either those refusers seek to hide the truth of improper voter registration and voting, or they are so obsessed with obstructing President Trump they cannot do anything honest.
Amazing. Well, perhaps not so amazing after all.
I kept hearing in the news on NPR (I listen to the classical music and hear the official left wing news when I cannot turn down the sound in time) about how the Georgia special election was to be a ‘referendum’ on President Trump being elected.
The ‘referendum’ endorsed the election of President Trump rather than repudiate the election. Which undercuts the Democrat position.
I rather imagine the Democrat Continuum will use the standard ploy in dealing with this development. Ignore it. Pretend it never happened. If prompted, pretend it didn’t mean a thing. Tell everyone how it was a ‘moral’ victory how the Democratic Continuum candidate scored so many votes – without mentioning the incredible amount of money funneled into the election from all the Democrat Continuum donors around the country.
Here’s the moral of the story: President Trump won the last election because the voters of the United States preferred Mr. Trump and what he represents to Secretary Hillary Clinton and what she represents. And the Democrat Continuum is still panicked and upset and still denying why they lost.
According to Fox News, late FBI Director James Comey will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee. (Just for the record, they are really having a difficult time finding any to share.)
The Fox News headline reads, “Win for critics or allies?” Allow me to predict no matter what Mr. Comey actually says, the Democrat Continuum will announce President Trump is guilty of pretty much everything; including the killing of Cock Robin.
Tomorrow come the claims…
New York City Governor Andrew Cuomo said recently (not sure of date of speech, article published 07 June 2017) President Trump should start with him in the process of deporting immigrants. In doing so, Governor Cuomo demonstrates his inability to speak intelligently. Several factual gaffes appear in this statement:
1. The President of the United States cannot deport anyone. Only an immigration judge, in an immigration court and proceedings has the authority to deport anyone. Nor does the President of the United States have authority to direct such a court to deport any specific individual.
2. Governor Cuomo was born in New York City to parents presumably citizens of the United States. He was not born in any of the ‘exception’ areas – the Italian Consulate, for instance – and is therefore a citizen of the United States. A citizen of the United States – by law – cannot be deported. Only non-citizens can be deported.
3. The current President of the United States has made no statements about a blanket deportation of ‘immigrants’. He has spoken of deportation of those persons, not U. S. citizens, in the territory of the United States AND engaged in the planning or commission of illegal, felonious acts; or those in the U. S. without legal authority (commonly called ‘illegal aliens’). One notes if Governor Cuomo has either planned or committed illegal felonious acts, and is under law liable as an ‘abettor’ or participant in such acts, he may be arrested, tried and convicted and sentenced to penal servitude or other punishment as prescribed by law and directed by competent court. But Governor Cuomo cannot be deported for such action.
All of the above should be known to Governor Cuomo. I say again, ‘…should be aware…’. One notes Governor Cuomo is an attorney and has practiced law at least in the State of New York. Attorneys in general should be aware of these provisions of Federal Law.
From all this, two alternatives present themselves. One is Governor Cuomo is woefully ignorant of the law. Which strikes me as a bit unlikely. The other alternative is Governor Cuomo is so intent in his hatred for President Trump, et al, the Governor has decided to utter mis-truths in order to cast aspersions on the President.
I am always doubtful of those who cannot find a legitimate argument for criticism and instead utter mis-truths. Nor does this generate any confidence or sympathy for Governor Cuomo or his purpose.
Being in the People’s Democratic Socialist Republic of California and being qualified to run a University worthy of the People’s Democratic Socialist Republic of California, you probably do not have enough sense to figure this out. So I’ll be kind and just tell you outright.
Allowing a mob of thugs who object to free speech, deny those they don’t like having the right to speak in public out of hate and general threatening violence whenever they don’t get their way is what is known as “Mob Rule”.
You PDSR California nitwits probably never learned this in school or from your parents – certainly not from a Christian Church – but this sort of behavior is NOT part of the “American Way”. Part of the tradition of the United States is that ALL views are allowed to speak in public forums, not just those who suppress opposite views by bullying or physical violence, such as the mob you catered to by blocking Ann Coulter’s speaking engagement after inviting her. Free speech applies to all views, not just those promoting anti-U. S. thoughts and other screwball ideals.
From your actions, your entire staff and your corporate policy favors “Mob rule” to rule of law, or the concept of decency and reason. Your actions demonstrate the corporate policy of your alleged school to be that of hatred, contempt of reason, contempt of decency, and an utter disregard for respect for everyone and everything not agreeing with your momentary flights of fancy.
Most everyone of my age remembers the original “Star Wars” with Mark Hamill, Sir Alec Guinness, Harrison Ford, of course Carrie Fisher and others. Many younger people are quite familiar with it as well. It is indeed a modern classic.
Harken back to a scene where Imperial Stormtroopers stop the small craft containing Luke Skywalker, the anonymous Obi-wan Kenobi and the two ‘droids (robots to me) C3PO and R2D2. Obi-wan performs a bit of Jedi mind control and the lead Stormtrooper parrots, “We don’t need to see his identification. These are NOT the ‘droids we’re looking for.” It is a funny scene, even if both Obi-wan and the Stormtrooper dangle a preposition. Sigh…
Now imagine this: A small craft of some kind carrying former Former Secretary of State Clinton, President Obama, Representative Pelosi, Senator Chuck Schumer and Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch. They are stopped by FBI Director James Comey. Director Comey says, “We don’t need to do any investigation. These are NOT the ‘droids we’re looking for.”
I probably have too much time on my hands… Oh. If I suddenly disappear or commit suicide, remember this.
